It was a light docket for criminal felony cases in Custer County Court on Monday, May 12th.
Chris Wickham, attorney for Adam R. Jesseph, attempted to file a written waiver in the preliminary hearing that was scheduled for his client. However, Judge Tami Schendt denied the waiver since she had issued a bench warrant last week for the defendant. In February of this year, Jesseph, age 38 of Cozad, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, a Class ID felony; possession of a controlled substance, a Class IV felony; obstruction of a government operation, a Class I misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, an infraction; and habitual criminal-enhanced.
