In other Custer County District Court cases heard on Thursday, May 1st, Riggin C. Temple, age 26 of Ainsworth, appeared for arraignment. Temple is charged with operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, a Class IV felony, along with five other counts that are misdemeanors or infractions. Temple pleaded not guilty to all charges and Judge Karin Noakes scheduled a jury trial for June 9th. His bond was continued.
Drake M. Conroy, age 27 of Merna, appeared in District Court for sentencing. In January of this year, Conroy pleaded guilty to an amended charge of 2nd offense DUI, aggravated, a Class I misdemeanor. Conroy was originally charged in July 2024 with 4th offense DUI, a Class IIA felony. Judge Noakes sentenced Conroy to 2 years probation, 30 days in jail with credit for 2 days served, as well as fines and fees.
