Burwell hosted its annual track and field invite on Thursday. Teams from the KCNI/KBBN coverage area competing included Anselmo-Merna, Arcadia/Loup City, Burwell, Mullen, Sandhills/Thedford, South Loup and Twin Loup. Riverside won the boys team title with 110 points followed by West Holt with 90 points. The top area finisher was South Loup finishing in third with 81 points followed by Arcadia/Loup City in fourth with 73 points. The girls team champion was West Holt with 118 points followed by Burwell in second with 106.5 points. Mullen was third with 92 points and South Loup was fourth with 90.
Recapping some of the area highlights, the following individuals claimed gold in their respective events.
