Broken Bow hosted its annual track and field invite on Friday at Mark Russell Field. Cozad won the boys team title with 123 points and Gothenburg was runner up with 100. Just six points separated the top three girls teams in the standings. McCook won the team title with 79 points followed by Broken Bow in second with 74 points and Minden was third with 73.
Among the Broken Bow highlights, Broken Bow won the girls 4×800 meter relay. The winning team of Maren Chapin, Halle Quinn, Gaby Staples, and Addison Ellis posted a winning time of 10:31.36. Klarissa Dowdy had a strong day in the hurdles winning the girls 300 meter hurdles in a time of 46.9 seconds and was runner up in the girls 100 meter hurdles in a time of 16.32 seconds. Halle Quinn was runner up in the girls 800 in a time of 2:27.95. Keelyn Shea was runner up in the girls discus with an effort of 120’10” and Drew Ellis was runner up in the boys shot put with an effort of 46’2.5″. Coy Wardyn was third in the boys pole vault clearing 14’10”. Anslee Campbell was third in the girls long jump with an effort of 32’4.5″. Broken Bow placed third in the 4×400 meter relay.

Charlee Myers 4th in the girls pole vault (9’10”) *new school record
Aliya Myer 5th in the girls 400 (1:03.98)

Janae Marten 5th in the girls shot put (37’8.5″) and 4th in the girls discus (115’11”)
Drew Ellis 6th in the boys discus (130’6″)
