The Broken Bow boys golf team traveled to Wildhorse Golf Course in Gothenburg on Thursday for a dual with the Swedes to start the season. Broken Bow won the dual with a team score of 210. Gothenburg finished with a 232.
Jack White and Austin Fox of Broken Bow tied for the low round of the day at the nine hole event as each finished with a five over par 41. Zach Jackson of Broken Bow was one shot behind finishing with a 42. Other top ten scores for Broken Bow included Garrett Johnk and Adrian Gibbons a 43. Bowen Ridder finished with a 44 and Gavin Carrizales rounded out the top ten with a round of 47. Head coach Riley Weems said, ” It was a great day to play and it was a great way to start our season. We’re looking forward to the rest of the season and getting better every day.”
Gothenburg was led by Valon Pfeifer who finished with a seven over par 43.
Broken Bow is scheduled to travel to the Holdrege Country Club on Tuesday for a triangular.
