The 2025 NSAA State Speech Championships continued at Kearney High School on Thursday with C-1 and C-2 competition. Broken Bow’s Brynn Custer brought some hardware home for the Indians.
Informative Speaking and Persuasive Speaking continued to be strong for Custer, who achieved a state championship and state runner-up designation in those competitions respectively.
Custer carried momentum into state after being named the C1-6 district champion in the same competitions last Saturday at Perkins County High School.
Also competing at state speech after strong showings at district competition were Addisen Loughran, Ashlyn Schauda, AnnaBeth Fama, and Maggie Peterson.
