Donald L. Jones, age 86 of Ansley, NE went to be with his Lord Savior March 3, 2025.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE. Burial will follow in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the First Church of God. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the family greeting 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary. Don was born to Lawrence and Beatrice (Morris) Jones on August 17, 1938. Don attended schools in Seneca, Wayside Country School in Merna, and Broken Bow Public School. Don worked on numerous ranches in the sandhills.

In 1958 he married Marg Ondrak, to this union six children were born Carla, Candice, Doug, Casey, Kristi, and Joshua.

Later in life Don married his high school sweetheart Shirley (Eberle) and added two more children to the family H. Jay Trotter and Nancy Spanel.

Don and Shirley loved to camp, fish, boat, and go hunting. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren spending time with them on the ranch and fishing, and hunting with the boys.

Don worked for Forse Tire, Meston Motor Co, Briggs Transportation, L & W Tire for 30 years and retired from Garrett Tire.

Don is survived by his wife Shirley, children Carla (Bud) Clark, Casey (Korrena) Jones, Josh (Shawna) Jones, Jay (JoDeen) Trotter, Nancy Spanel (fiancé Trenton Harris and son Hawkins), 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, sister Dottie Winbolt, sisters-in-law Betty Beno and Elaine Eberle, special friends Wayne Eichelberger and Doug Spanel.

Don is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Beatrice, first wife Marg, daughters Candice and Kristi, son Doug, one infant grandson, one infant great-grandson, brother Darrell (Marie) Jones, sister Darlene (Loren) Wolsleben, brothers-in-law Swede Winbolt, Anthony Beno, and David Eberle.
