
The Broken Bow girls basketball team will face Scotus Central Catholic of Columbus today for the C1-6 district championship. Bow was runner up to Milford at the C1-8 sub district tournament but received one of the six available wild card spots with an 18-6 overall record. The Lady Indians are the #11 seed in the district final round. Scotus is 20-4 and qualified for districts as the C1-4 sub district champion. The game will tip off at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM / 1280 AM / kcni1280.com. A live video stream of the game, accompanied by the radio call, will also be available through sandhillsexpress.com on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and Sandhills Express You Tube Channel.

Anselmo-Merna will face Leyton tonight in North Platte for the D2-8 district championship. Anselmo-Merna is the #9 seed in the district tournament. The Lady Coyotes are 19-5 and qualified for districts as the D2-7 sub district champion. Leyton is 21-2 and qualified for the district finals as the D2-11 sub district champion. The D2-8 district final will take place at North Platte St. Pat’s tipping off at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
Mullen will face Wilcox-Hildreth tonight for the D2-5 girls basketball district championship. Mullen is the #5 seed in the district tournament. Mullen is 19-2 and qualified for the district finals by winning the D2-10 sub district tournament. Wilcox Hildreth is 17-8 and qualified as a wildcard for the district finals. The D2-5 final will be played at Maxwell High School tipping of 6 p.m. central time.
All district final winners will advance to the girls state basketball tournament in Lincoln next week. Opening round games for classes C1, D1, and A will be played Wednesday (3/5). Opening round games for classes C2, D2, and B will be played Thursday (3/6). Semifinals for all classes will take place on Friday (3/7) with championship and 3rd place consolation games taking place on Saturday (3/8).
