Area Wrestlers Compete at Axtell Girls Invite

Axtell hosted its girls wrestling invite on Saturday.  Among the area teams that competed were Ansley/Litchfield, Cozad and SEM.  The team champion was Southwest with 123.5 points.  A/L finished in third with 60 points followed by Cozad in fourth.  Among the area highlights, Ansley/Litchfield had two individual champions.  Clysta Brott was champion at 130 lbs. and Jaycee Vogel was champion at 140 lbs. for the Spartans.  Others who placed in the top four for A/L were Addison Lyon 4th at 115, Malynn Boyles 3rd at 155, Morgan Hawkins 2nd at 235 and Isabelle Plunket was third at 235.  Ellie Scoville of SEM was champion at 155 lbs. and Sofia McDonald of SEM was runner up at 170 lbs.  Abby Negly of Cozad was champion at 105 lbs.  Others who placed in the top four for Cozad included Samantha Roberts 3rd at 120, Andrea Saravia runner up at 135, Swaisen Mroczek was 4th at 235.
