Busy schedule to kick off the year at Broken Bow library

In addition to the library’s regular story times Monday’s and Friday’s at 10am, ask the front desk about their January scavenger hunt. Six A.M. workouts during the week are an opportunity to meet others and get in shape! And for Bingo lovers, pick up your Bingo sheet and get ready to compete for prizes!

Coming up Tuesday January 14, there’s an opportunity to paint keychains, according to library director Megan Svoboda.

“They’re going to make little cute little snowmen and it’s just with the little diamond art I guess. So just call the library, and this is a free activity that’s sponsored by Friends of the Library,” said Svoboda.

Another fun event geared for teenagers is the Candy Olympics on Friday, January 17th.

“But they do M&M stacking and just different challenges with candy or do a relay race with the M&Ms in the spoon, I don’t know exactly what she’s doing but those are just some of the things they have done in the past,” explained Svoboda.

The library also invites children to bring their stuffed animals to a sleepover party January 24th, sign-up at the front desk or call 872-2927.

If soup’s your thing, Nebraska Extension is hosting a soup supper at the library January 29th, register and pay the $15 fee by January 20th.

The library’s annual Daddy Daughter Date Night is Friday, February 7th at the library.
