The Broken Bow girls and boys basketball teams will play their home opener tonight when they host Minden for a doubleheader at the Indian gym. The girls game features a matchup of undefeated teams. Broken Bow is 2-0 to start the season with wins over Holdrege and Amherst on the road. Minden was preseason ranked in the top five by the Omaha World Herald and is 3-0 to start the season with wins over Southern Valley, Ogallala, and Lexington. In the boys game, it will be Broken Bow’s second game of the season after falling to Holdrege in the season opener last week. Minden is 2-1 with wins over Southern Valley and Lexington with their loss coming against Ogallala. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. The girls varsity game is scheduled for 6 p.m. with the boys game to follow.
