Ollie’s Coffee & Boutique recognized with Grow Award from Broken Bow Chamber

BROKEN BOW, NE – The Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce presented Ollie’s Coffee & Boutique with a Grow Award on Friday afternoon (November 22) at the business’s location just west of the square. Ollie’s has been in Broken Bow since May of this  year.

Before making their home in the former Prairie Grounds building in Broken Bow, Ollie’s Coffee & Boutique originally opened in late 2020 in Sargent. After what owner Beth Ottun called a “little pause button” at the time, many items that were established in Sargent came to Broken Bow, all the way down to paint colors on the walls and flooring style.

The coffee shop menu features espresso, coffee blends, teas, and smoothies. Several food options are available to visitors as well now, including soup specials, and new drink inventions happen often.

In the boutique side of Ollie’s items like home decor, clothing, hats, shoes, purses, scarves, jewelry, gifts, packaged coffee, locally produced products, and kids products can be found for sale.

Owner Beth Ottun said the journey from May to today has been great. “I know it sounds cliche, but every day is a little bit better. Our location is awesome because we get people from all over. They come travel this highway and so we get to meet people every day. Of course locals, we’re starting to see a lot of regulars. That’s really fun, we’re really getting to know everybody which I think is really fun.”

Ottun said that she and the staff that has grown to a size of 18 are gearing up for the upcoming Christmas season which includes plans like a visit from Santa. She added that the business has also applied to be a Nebraska Passport location for the upcoming season.

Ollie’s Coffee & Boutique is open Monday through Friday 7 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 8 AM to 5 PM.
