Sub district volleyball begins today across Nebraska.
Broken Bow is the #2 seed at the C1-7 sub district. Minden is the top seed and will host the tournament. Broken Bow will face #3 seed David City tonight at 6 p.m. with the winner advancing to the sub final on Tuesday (10/29). Tonight’s match and all Broken Bow matches from the C1-7 tournament will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com.
SEM and Anselmo-Merna will both play at the D2-7 sub district tournament which will be hosted by top seed Central Valley. SEM will face Anselmo-Merna tonight with the winner advancing to the sub final on Tuesday. Tonight’s match between SEM and Anselmo-Merna will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. A live video stream of the match, accompanied by the radio call, will be available on the Sandhills Express Facebook Page and Sandhills Express You Tube channel. Match time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
In Class C2, Arcadia/Loup City will play at the six team C2-9 sub district tournament where the top seed is Maywood Hayes Center. ALC is the #3 seed and will face Twin River today with the winner to play Cross County on Tuesday. The sub district championship will be on Wednesday (10/30).
South Loup will play at the six team C2-8 sub district tournament where the top seed is Hastings St. Cecilia. South Loup will play Centennial today with the winner advancing to play #2 seed Southern Valley on Tuesday. The sub district championship will be on Wednesday (10/30).
Ansley/Litchfield is the top seed at the four team D1-8 sub district. The Lady Spartans will face Twin Loup this evening. Pleasanton is the #2 seed and will face Burwell today with the winners playing each other Tuesday evening for the sub district championship.
Sandhills Valley is the #4 seed at the D1-11 sub district and will face top seed Brady today. The winner will advance to the sub final and play the winner of South Platte and Sutherland on Tuesday.
Sandhills/Thedford is the top seed at the four team D2-10 sub district. S/T will face Arthur County today. The other opening game today will feature #2 seed Mullen against Hyannis with the winners facing off for the sub district championship on Tuesday.
Cozad and Gothenburg will both compete at the C1-8 sub district at Kearney Catholic. Cozad will face GICC today with the winner advancing to face top seed Kearney Catholic later tonight. Gothenburg is the #3 seed and will face Adams Central today with the winners advancing to the final on Tuesday.
