A free community event centered on healthy living is taking place at the Broken Bow city square park Thursday midday (September 12).
Melham Medical Center’s “Healthcare on the Square” event will feature speakers, activities, vendors, giveaways, and more during the event from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The schedule of speakers who will be passing along their knowledge in the Broken Bow Chamber office starts at 10 AM. Paula Marzolf will speak first representing the Live on Nebraska organization, an independent non-profit that cues organ, tissue, and eye donation.
Doctor Greg Sextro, MD will speak at 11 AM on orthopedics, followed by Nebraska State Trooper Flick who will speak about drug education.
Visitors to Healthcare on the Square will find all sorts of information and activities strewn throughout the outdoor space including an ATV simulator, mammogram information, free blood pressure checks, and over 25 vendor booths each with their own expertise.
Several giveaways will be available in addition to those at individual booths, including bike helmets and a pass to the Melham Medical Center Wellness Center.
