Broken Bow Police Department reveals results of Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign

BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow Police Department shared the results of their recent participation in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign, which took place from August 16 through September 2.

The selective, which allowed officers to work overtime hours in an effort to decrease the number of drunk and impaired drivers on the streets of Broken Bow, was funded by the Nebraska Department of Highway Safety.

During the time frame of the campaign, officers responded to 99 calls for service including speeding, disturbances, and stop sign violations.

Officers made a total of 122 traffic stops which led to 25 total citations and 99 warnings and vehicle defects. Stops also led to several uniform citations and arrests including five arrests for DUI and two MIP citations.
