Custer County Court Held on Monday, August 19th

Custer County Court was in session on Monday, August 19th, with Judge Tami Schendt presiding.

Logan D. Brown, age 30 of Broken Bow, appeared on charges of terroristic threats, a Class IIIA felony, and 3rd degree domestic assault, a Class I misdemeanor. The charges stem from an alleged incident that occurred on August 16th. A preliminary hearing was set for September 9th at 2:00 p.m. with bond set at $10,000 with a 10% privilege.

Phillip S. Duncan, age 53 of Broken Bow, appeared in court for a bond review hearing. On July 8th, Duncan was charged with one count of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, a Class II felony; one count of possession of a weapon by a prohibited person, a Class III felony; three counts of terroristic threats, Class IIIA felonies; and two counts of 3rd degree assault, Class I misdemeanors. Bond was previously set at $500,000 with a 10% privilege, but during Monday’s hearing, bond was reduced to $250,000 with 10% privilege. Duncan waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Custer County District Court where he will appear on September 5th.

Christina M. Page, age 44 of Loup City, appeared on felony charges of escape. According to court documents, on June 7, 2024, Page failed to present herself to the Custer County Jail to serve a sentence of 15 days. A preliminary hearing will be held on September 16th at 2:00 p.m. Bond was continued.
