The Nebraska High School Rodeo fall season continued this past Saturday and Sunday in Lexington.
Among the area highlights, Kallan Cox of Purdum won the barrel racing on Sunday with a winning time of 16.471 followed by Haylea Miller of Merna in second with a time of 16.575. Jacie Naprstek of Gothenburg was runner up in the goat tying on Sunday with a time of 7.94 seconds. Other top five area finishes on Sunday included Haylea Miller of Merna 5th in girls cutting, Emerson Thorberg of Mullen 5th in breakaway, and Cooper Walker of Seneca 3rd in bareback.
Among the area highlights during Saturday’s performance, Anna Clark of Thedford was runner up in the barrels with a time of 16.437 seconds. There were only three qualified rides in the bull riding on Saturday and one of them belonged to Kelstyn Lindner of Broken Bow who finished second with a score of 67. Other top five area finishes on Saturday included Colton Leach of Dunning 5th in the tie down roping. Haylea Miller of Merna was 4th in the pole bending followed by Shaylee Milleson of Dunning in 5th. Haylea Miller of Merna was third in the girls cutting and Emerson Thorberg of Mullen placed 4th in the breakaway.
