While the Sandhills Open Road Challenge races start tomorrow August 8, many important events start today.
Starting at 8:00 a.m. and going until 2:00 p.m., there are tech inspections for the Loup 2 Loup Race. This is held at Robbi Smith Shop located west of Arnold, first drive after the river bridge on the south side of the highway. Participants can watch for signs.
Also going on from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. is registration for the Loup 2 Loup Race. This is at the Arnold Community Center. Participants must pass tech inspection before they register.
New this year, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. there will be tech inspections for Shootout and SORC only cars. This is at Robbi Smith Shop as well.
At 6 p.m. participants will complete two passes of the Loup 2 Loup Course. Once completed, participants will be asked to turn cards into Harsh Mercantile.
A mandatory Loup 2 Loup drivers meeting will go on at 7 p.m. at Sandhills High School in Dunning. The Loup 2 Loup Race will begin tomorrow morning in Halsey.
The One Mile Shootout is on Friday in Callaway, starting at 8 a.m. The Sandhills Open Road Challenge Race is on Saturday, starting at 8:30 a.m.
