ORLANDO, FL – Five students from the KCNI/KBBN listening area returned from last week’s FBLA National Leadership Conference (NLC) after being named among the nation’s best in competitions held in Orlando, Florida.
In high school competition, Broken Bow’s Michael Forster placed first in client service. In client service competition, Forster engaged clients in conversations regarding products, handled inquiries, and solved problems while also preparing for and taking part in a role play scenario.
Joining Forster as national champions were fellow Broken Bow students Ali Morris, Brock Oeltjen, and Bailey Ridder who took top honors as a digital animation team. An event designed to measure understanding and application of basic animation design, digital animation consisted of a pre-judged project as well as a presentation component.
Kinley Keefe of Sargent placed seventh nationally in junior high competition representing Nebraska in career research, where she presented her research on a career that interests her.
According to the FBLA website, the four day NLC conference is considered the pinnacle of the FBLA experience, where the best and brightest of FBLA convene to compete in leadership events, share their successes, and learn new ideas about shaping their career future through workshops and exhibits.
