Council to appoint police officer, sell surplus property, discuss cell tower construction

The Broken Bow City Council will meet tonight (July 9) starting at 6 PM at the Broken Bow Municipal Building.

Council will start new business by considering approving the appointment of Joshua Townsend as a Broken Bow Police Officer,

Resolutions 2024-06 involves the consideration of approving the sale of real property valued at over $5,000. The property is lot six, and the north half of lot seven in block twelve of Jewett & Lilly’s addition to Broken Bow (843 North 6th Avenue). If the sale is approved, bids starting at a minimum of $6,500 would be accepted to the City Clerk by Friday, August 23 at 5 PM.

A change order in the amount of $65,357.00 for the Eagle Crest subdivision will be considered for approval.

Council will close tonight’s meeting by discussing and considering for approval a conditional use permit on Hillcrest Drive allowing the sale of Cottage Bakery goods from an agricultural district as well as a conditional use permit at 44100 Memorial Drive for construction of a cell phone tower.
