Bonnie Bernice Shaul, 86, of Blue Hill Ne passed away peacefully at home on June 20th, 2024.
Bonnie was born March 24th, 1938, in Seneca, Nebraska to Elmer and Bernice Secor. Bonnie and her brother, Edward “Butch” Secor moved to Broken Bow with their parents, where she spent her teenage years. Bonnie graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1956.
Bonnie married Elliott “Tex” Flynn on December 24th, 1956, in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Although this relationship was not permanent, Bonnie was blessed with three sons, the late Michael Flynn, Casey Flynn (Tammy), and Patrick Flynn.
In later years, Bonnie worked as a waitress in Woodlake, Nebraska, where she met and later married Allen Shaul. The couple married in Kearney, Nebraska on October 29th, 1975. To that marriage, Bonnie was blessed with a daughter, Misty Shaul.
Bonnie was truly a blessing to all who knew her. Through her many years in daycare and in home health care, she touched many lives, both young and old.
Bonnie enjoyed going to auctions, antiquing, camping, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Bonnie was a proud grandma to seven grandchildren: Lana Burnett (Jeff), EJ Flynn (Lindy), Sadie Wooters, Sadye Taylor (Andy), Travin Flynn, Madysen Shaul, and Brooklyn Shaul. Bonnie was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren:
Grace Burnett, Jackson Burnett, Ember Flynn, Harvey Flynn, Kayce Flynn, Hunter White, Oakley Wilkerson, Mesa Taylor, Hazen Taylor, and Remi Flynn.
Bonnie was survived by her husband, Allen; her children Casey, Pat, and Misty, her brother Edward “Butch”, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Bernice Secor, and her son, Mike.
She will be missed by many friends and family.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at DeWitt Funeral Home, 604 S. Burlington Ave, Hastings Ne.
