Motorcycles will rumble into the hills starting at Noon this Saturday as a part of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association annual poker run. The event is being put on by the 16-4 division based out of Kearney which has membership of several from the KCNI/KBBN listening area.
Saturday’s poker run will start with bikes leaving from Legends Neighborhood Bar and Grill in Broken Bow at noon. Costs are $20 per rider and $10 per passenger. Silent auctions and 50/50 tickets will also help support the nonprofit organization.

According to the CVMA website, members are from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. The organization is a registered veterans charity with a mission to support and protect those who have defended our country and our freedoms. Chapters often sponsor and participate in many veteran-related charity events and donate to various veteran causes.
Local CVMA 16-4 member Jeremiah Daugherty told KCNI/KBBN news that Saturday’s poker run will wrap up with a special bike presentation with Wheels 4 Warriors USA at 6:00 PM. The organization prides itself on not only providing a completely free motorcycle to a veteran, but also fostering camaraderie, offering support, and instilling a sense of service in each of their veteran recipients.
