The Broken Bow 18U Spirit Softball team split a doubleheader with Cozad 18U on Wednesday. After dropping the opening game 6-3, the Spirit came back to win the second game 10-5. In the victory, Broken Bow led 3-1 after the first inning and then scored seven runs in the second to pull away and hang on for the win. Laney Holcomb was the winning pitcher giving up 5 runs on 4 hits and striking out 1. Holcomb also had a multi hit game at the plate going 2 for 2 with 2 RBI. Anslee Campbell had a triple, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI. Alexis Pflaster was 1 for 1 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI and Ruby Russell was 1 for 1 with two runs scored. The Bow Spirit is now 4-5-1 on the season.
