Child Care Provider Day is celebrated annually on the Friday before Mother’s Day and recognizes child care providers, teachers, and other educators of young children everywhere, including Broken Bow. On Friday, May 10th, Mayor Rod Sonnichsen signed a City of Broken Bow Proclamation officially recognizing that day as Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. Among the highlights of the proclamation, it recognizes the dedication of the providers and the important role they play in our children’s future. Mayor Sonnichsen added that the city recognizes how vital child care providers are for Broken Bow’s workforce and local economy and appreciates their service . On hand to join in the proclamation signing were child care providers/educators Stephanie Meyer, Heather Schmidt, and Priscilla Shafer.
