Elks Club Coat Drive Brings in Almost 300 Coats

CUSTER COUNTY – The Broken Bow Elks Lodge Winter Coat Drive is now done and with the graciousness of people all around, almost 300 coats were donated to the Community Connection in Broken Bow.

The coat goal for the coat drive was to get 325 coats, which the Elks Club was just short of but that does not mean that the drive was not successful.

The totals indicate over 800 items were donated which include 82 knit scarves, 298 coats, 31 light outerwear, 83 caps, 101 gloves, 182 socks, 67 shoes, and 14 snow covers.

Currently, there is no date set for the Elk Scholarship Banquet, but highschool kids are encouraged to talk to their guidance counselors about the Elks Scholarships so they can get their applications in as soon as possible.

The Broken Bow Elks Club is always looking for new members and you are invited to reach out to a member for more information.

You are invited to check out the Broken Bow Elks #1688 Facebook Page to be on the lookout for future events that the Elks Club will be holding.
