That was Definitely a False Spring

CENTRAL NEBRASKA – We have all seen that Facebook post about Nebraska having 12 seasons and a line pointing at a false spring, well that was more than true since it snowed about half an inch on Thursday night into Friday morning.

According to lawnweedexpert.com, the term ‘false spring’ refers to a period in late winter or early spring when temperatures become unusually warm, before suddenly growing cold again.  This can cause damage to early-developing crops. T

The good thing about a false spring? Feeling the warm weather knowing that warmer weather is upon us. According to the Alamac, the first day of spring is March 19, so a little over a month away before we can all catch up on our Vitamin D fix again.
