Custer County Salvation Army Collects Over $11,000

CUSTER COUNTY – Outside of Tractor Supply, Grocery Kart, and Gary’s Superfood in Broken Bow throughout December, you might have heard that ringing of the bell that made you want to dig in your pocket and donate that extra pocket change you had. With the help of over 60 volunteers, the Custer County Salvation Army Bell Ringing collected $11,621.00.

The Custer County Salvation Army expressed gratitude to  everyone who donated and took time out of their busy schedule during the holidays to ring bells and also thanked local businesses who displayed kettles. (Tumbleweed Café, Runza, Subway, Sylevster’s Bar and Lounge, All Trotter’s Whoa and Go’s in Custer County, Whiskey Barrel, Pleasure Lanes, Dairy Queen, Varney Healthmart, Legends Bar and Grill, Arrow Hotel Sargent Corner Market Fill and Chill in Ansley, Country Partners Co-op, Callaway Market, Henry’s Callaway Bar and Grill, Brewbakers Coffeehouse and Gifts, The Exchange, Reed’s Food Center, and Market & Mill in Anselmo).

Custer County Salvation Army will use 90% of the proceeds to help with local projects
including but not limited to, Custer County school book fairs, School supply backpack
program, local food pantry, medical assistance, and emergency housing for those in
