The D2-9 All District football teams have been released. The district consisted of Sandhills/Thedford, South Loup, Anselmo-Merna, Mullen, Leyton, and Hyannis. It was a tremendous year for the district as five of the six teams qualified for the state playoffs. South Loup was the district champion completing an undefeated regular season. Sandhills/Thedford met South Loup in the Class D2 state semifinals with the Knights advancing to the state championship game where they defeated Wynot 50-12 to claim the state title. South Loup and Sandhills/Thedford led the way in all district honors. Sandhills/Thedford placed four players on the first team offense and three on the first team defense. South Loup was represented by five players on the first team offense, two on the first team defense, and one on the first team special teams unit. Anselmo-Merna and Mullen each had three first team selections.
