“Holiday at the Henri” program in Cozad Dec. 2

COZAD – On Saturday, December 2,  from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., The Robert Henri Museum and Art Gallery are sponsoring its annual “Holiday at the Henri” program.

The museum will also be hosting an open house that will include Christmas decorations along with guided tours of the art gallery and the historic house.

In addition, the museum has opened two new exhibitions,
“Passing on the Art Spirit and Painters for a New Century” that were
generously funded by the Peter Kiewit Foundation. The first
exhibit looks at six of Henri’s most famous students, while also reviewing Henri’s
painting and teaching techniques. The second exhibit looks at The
Immortal Eight, a group of painters.

The museum also has two other permanent exhibits “Robert Henri: From the 100th Meridian to International Fame” and “From Cozad to the State Prison: The Colorful Character of Miles Maryott”.

Peter Osborne, the director of The Robert Henri Museum will be signing copies of his new book “Nebraska Sign-posts: Robert Henri’s Years on the Great Plains”.
