Central Nebraska’s Sports Source was invited to a letter of intent signing for Max Denson of Broken Bow as he officially signed to join the baseball program at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE. Denson is a senior at Broken Bow high school and has enjoyed a very successful athletic career. Of all the sports he competes in, there has always been a special love for the game of baseball.
I just love the atmosphere hanging out with your buddies being outside. I just love it. It’s always been that way since I’ve been a kid.
Since Broken Bow does not have a high school baseball program, the Broken Bow American Legion baseball program during the summer has been very important to Denson’s growth as a player. Denson plans to pitch at the next level. As he develops as a pitcher, he said his goal is to see the speed of his fastball reach up to near 90 mph.
It’s at 85.5 (mph) right now. Hopefully I’m going to get up to 87 by next fall and then hopefully get up to 90 by the time I get out of Northeast. See where I go from there.
