The Custer County Salvation Army is hosting two important events, Santa Cop Soup Lunch, and the infamous Bell Ringing.
Santa Cop started in Custer County in 2004 and has helped many families in the Custer County area ever since. The Santa Cop Soup Lunch will be November 12 from noon – 2 p.m. at St. Josephs Parish Center in Broken Bow. This is a fundraiser for the Santa Cop project, which brings holiday gifts to Custer County kids in need.
If you know of a family or are a family who is interested in participating in Santa Cop, contact Julie Toline at the Broken Bow Police Department (308)-872-6424 and she will get you an application.
The bell-ringing season starts on November 24, and you are invited to find the link to sign up for a time and a place on their Facebook page, or you can call members of the Salvation Army.
90% of the funds raised in Custer County stay here to help those in need. Anyone can volunteer to ring bells from Friday, November 25 through Saturday, December 23. All ages are welcome to ring bells and spread a little holiday cheer.
