Callaway District Hospital & Medical Clinics Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Callaway District Hospital & Medical Clinics is pleased to announce the appointment of Cassie Penn, MHA as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the organization.

With an extensive background in healthcare management and a proven track record of driving operational excellence, Penn brings a wealth of experience to Callaway District Hospital & Medical Clinics. As COO, Penn will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital and clinics, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and implementing strategic initiatives to further enhance the organization’s performance.

Penn comes to Callaway District Hospital & Medical Clinics with 20 years of experience in healthcare management, holds an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician, a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration.  Penn is also currently working towards a Doctoral Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

The appointment of Penn reflects Callaway District Hospital & Medical Clinics’ commitment to strengthening its leadership team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The organization is confident that Penn will play a key role in advancing its mission and strategic objectives.

Penn will replace Caleb Poore who served as the Chief Financial Officer at CDH since 2018.  Poore has accepted a promotion and is now serving as the CEO at Boone County Health Center in Albion, Nebraska.
