One arraignment was heard in Custer County District Court on Thursday.
Mark Koch, age 61 of Sargent, entered a not guilty plea to two alleged charges.
Count one, abuse of a vulnerable adult (class IIIA felony), carries no minimum charge and a maximum charge of three years imprisonment, a $10,000 fine, or both. Count two, second-degree false imprisonment (class I misdemeanor), carries no minimum charge and a maximum charge of three-month imprisonment, a fine of $500, or both.
Koch had a pretrial date set for January 18, 2024, and a jury trial date slated for February 12, 2024.
