Roadwork to begin on N-21, north of the Cozad I-80 interchange

In a press release from the Nebraska Department of Transportation, they released a statement saying that with weather permitting, work will begin Nov. 6 on N- Highway 21, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Paulsen, Inc. of Cozad is the contractor for this project. Work includes removing an existing bridge and constructing a concrete box culvert and concrete pavement. Construction and removals will be phased to accommodate a single lane of traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals. An 11-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is April 2024.

The purpose of this project is to preserve transportation assets, improve the reliability of the transportation system, and perpetuate the movement of the traveling public.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
