The Broken Bow City Council came to order at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening. All members were present.
The council approved the consent agenda, including the posted bills and minutes from the October 10 meeting.
Under other communications, Darren Tobey, Broken Bow Public Schools Superintendent spoke about the $26.5m bond, what the money would go towards, and about community meetings and tours.
Under New Business, Russ Smith was named the New Council President.
The Council approved Electrical Superintendent Blake Waldow to serve as the Director of the Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN) and City Administrator David Schmidt to serve as the Alternative Director.

The Council also approved Resolution 2023-16, One- and Six-Year Plan, and Ordinance 1274 No Parking on the East side of South 19th Avenue between South E and South G Street.
There was also an official pinning of Broken Bow’s newest Police Captain, Christoper Anderson.

An appointment of David Baltz was approved as a new Broken Bow Police Officer and he took the Police Officer Oath.
The next City Council meeting will be on November 14, and as always is open to the public.
