The Custer County AG Society postponed their Thursday meeting to Friday, October 13 due to flooding. The meeting was in its usual location, the Shooting Sports Building.
The board started off by approving minutes from the September 14 and October 1 meetings. There was also a motion to pay monthly bills.
There were committee reports from the 4-H Council, Personnel Committee, and from Administrator.
Ben McCaslin was approved as the new grounds manager effective October 23. Shannon Cooksley was approved as the part-time administrative assistant starting at her earlier convenience.
The board also approved the purchase of a quick attach for tractors, the purchase of a skid steer bucket, and a new flag.
The board is looking into a permanent internet set-up. A 2024 Events Contract/Rental Agreements form was discussed and changes will be made. These will be discussed in November’s meeting.
Kent Nelson thanked Michelle Nelson for her 8 years of service to the Custer County Ag Society.
As always the agenda is kept continuously current and open for public inspections in the office of the Custer County Fairground’s Administrator.
