The Broken Bow football team won its fifth in a row Friday night defeating Holdrege on the road 43-19. Quarterback Eli Coble led the way offensively finishing with three rushing touchdowns and connected with Brice Chaplin on a 20 yard touchdown pass. Chaplin scored Broken Bow’s first points of the night with a 40 yard touchdown run to cap off a 70 yard touchdown drive on Bow’s opening possession of the game. Bow’s other score came when Cruze Safranek picked up a Broken Bow fumble and scored from one yard out. The Indians are now 5-1 and will face Minden in a big district showdown next Friday. Minden is 4-2 after falling to Aurora Friday 32-6.
SEM remained unbeaten rolling over Harvard Friday 66-6. The Mustangs scored early and often. Clark Padrnos and Chance Daake each had three touchdown passes for the SEM. Maddox Jones had two rushing touchdowns and Jace Rosentreader had two touchdown receptions. Catching touchdown passes were Bart Beattie, Ryan Arbuthnot, Colt Schroeder, and Preston Beattie. Beau Triplett and Jordan Scoville each had a rushing touchdown for SEM who improves to 5-0.
