Broken Bow to Compete Today at C-4 Girls Golf District Tournament

The Broken Bow girls golf team will compete today at the C-4 girls golf district championships at Indianhead golf course in Grand Island. The Lady Indians will be attempting to qualify for the state tournament as a team for the 11th time in program history. Scheduled to join Broken Bow in today’s meet are Arcadia/Loup City, Burwell, Cambridge, Centura, Cozad, Doniphan-Trumbull, Gibbon, Gothenburg, Grand Island Central Catholic, Holdrege, Kearney Catholic, Minden, Ravenna, and St. Paul.

The theme for the Broken Bow girls golf team this season has been “Back 4 more”. Last week, Broken Bow claimed its 4th consecutive Southwest Conference tournament team championship. Today Broken Bow will go after its 4th consecutive district championship and the opportunity to advance to the Class C state championships as they seek their 4th straight state team title, something that has never been accomplished by a Class C girls golf team.

The first three teams and the first ten individual places plus ties in each district will qualify for the NSAA championship. This year’s Class C girls golf state tournament will take place at Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte on Monday, October 9th, and Tuesday, October 10th.
