Broken Bow Fire Department Responds to Recent Calls

According to Dustin Watson, Fire Chief, and Andy Holland, Emergency Service Director, the Broken Bow Fire Department was called out a couple of times over the Labor Day weekend.

On Friday, September 1st at 7:54 p.m., the department responded to a pickup fire in the 600-700 block between South C and D Streets. The fire was contained and crews were finished by 8:47 p.m. The pickup was a complete loss and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is undetermined.

The fire department had 14 firefighters respond to the call, along with 3 Broken Bow EMS personnel, 1 engine, 1 rescue truck, 1 water tender, and 1 ambulance.

On Monday, September 4th, the Broken Bow Fire Department was called out for mutual aid to contain a grass fire. Fortunately, the call was cancelled while the crews were in route.
