CCF’s first count of 2023 “Give” campaign hints at $250,000

BROKEN BOW – The Custer County Foundation has just finished its initial tally of the over $200,000 brought in for this year’s “Give 4 Custer County” fundraising effort.

Twenty-nine nonprofit organizations signed up for the event and throughout the two weeks held their own fundraisers.

The foundation, to hold up its end of the bargain, will distribute its $50,000 proportionally to the money raised by each nonprofit. After the first count, The Arnold Area Historical Society not only reached its goal of $25,000, but doubled it, raising $52,078 between June 15 and 30.

The Spartan Foundation also doubled its target, bringing in over $21,000. The organization was aiming for $10,000.

The Anselmo-Merna Foundation also put up impressive numbers during the event, raising almost $16,000 and tripling their goal of $5,000.

Other organizations that reached their fundraising goals during this year’s campaign were the Custer County Fairgrounds, Comstock Community Garden, the Veterans Memorial Wall at Anselmo, the Broken Bow Elks, the Super Kids Club, and TeamMates of Broken Bow, the Custer County Fair BBQ, and Custer County DYO.
