COZAD – The Platte Valley Tailwinds took place over Father’s Day weekend at the Cozad Municipal Airport; despite low breezes at times, the days were a perfect way to celebrate machines both airborne and earthbound.
Friday night featured a car show, Saturday the Great American Kite display, and Sunday a balloon flight, in addition to a Father’s Day brunch.
Other highlights included live music, a bonfire, and of course, given the festival’s location, the airplane fly-in. KCNI/KBBN’s own Christen Shirley attended the event and provided pictures below.
