The second annual MNAC vs MAC girls and boys all star basketball games took place Friday at Sutherland. The event started last year and spotlights recent graduates from the schools and teams that make up the Mid Nebraska Activities Conference and the Minuteman Activities Conference.
The MNAC All Stars won the girls game 77-44. It was an impressive performance by the MNAC as all ten players scored. Shaylyn Safranek of Anselmo-Merna received MVP honors leading all scorers with a game high 24 points. Ava Pandorf of South Loup also finished in double figures for the MNAC with 16 points.
The MAC All Stars won the boys game 87-77. Johnny Vargas of Garden County was the game’s MVP finishing with a game high 25 points with 20 of those points coming in the second half. The MNAC had three players finish in double figures led by Clayton Moore of Mullen who finished with a team high 16 points. Cole Kramer of Sandhills Valley finished with 15 points and Max Kostman of Hyannis had 10 points.
