BROKEN BOW – Custer County Court heard 3 criminal cases on Monday morning and afternoon.
Blake T. Chapin, 34 of Broken Bow, appeared to face an allegation of intentional child abuse, a Class II felony, and 2 allegations of 3rd-degree sexual assault of a child, both Class IIIA felonies. Chapin waived his right to a preliminary hearing, and his case was bound over to the District Court.
Darrin Ostrander, 28 of Broken Bow, appeared to face an allegation of 1st-degree forcible sexual assault, a Class II felony. His case was bound over to the District Court as well.
James T. Barta, 33 of Broken Bow, appeared for a preliminary hearing to face an allegation of possession of a controlled substance, a Class IV felony. His case was continued until June.
