Broken Bow Competes at Dave Gee Track and Field Invitational

Broken Bow was among the teams that competed at the Dave Gee track and field invitational hosted by Northwest High School in Grand Island on Thursday. Northwest won the boys team title with 87 points followed by Boone Central in 2nd. Broken Bow finshed 6th in the boys team standings. The girls team title was won by Northwest with 90 points followed by Aurora in 2nd. Broken Bow finished in a tie for 5th in the girls team standings.

Among the individual highlights for the Indians, Max Denson swept the boys throwing events taking gold in the boys shot put with a winning effort of 51′ 2″ and winning the boys discus with an effort of 147′. Noah Osmond won the boys mile with a winning time of 4:36.89. Halle Quinn was runner up in the girls 800 in a time of 2:27.31. Janae Marten was runner up in the girls shot put with an effort of 37′ 3.25″. MaKinley Tobey placed third in 3200 in a time of 12:47.78. Charlee Myers finished in a tie for 7th in the girls pole vault clearing 9’9″ which set a new school record in the event.
