NORTH PLATTE – During the past few days, 4 Dawson County 4 Hers have been working hard preparing their presentations for Dawson County’s 2023 4 H Presentation Contest.

The contest was held Monday, April 3rd. The judge for the event was Sandra Stockall of North Platte. Andrea Nisley, UNL Extension Educator, conducted the event.

The Dawson County Bankers presented all the 4 H contestants with a $10 bill as a bonus for their efforts.

Each year a plaque sponsored by Dawson County Farm Bureau is awarded to the top Home Economics and Agriculture 4 H Clubs. Horseshoe Bend 4-H Club of Lexington and Tail Twisters 4-H Club of Gothenburg tied and won the Agriculture Plaque.

Representing Dawson County at the State Premier Communication Event competition will be Lexington’s Terrence Bliven and Cozad’s Cassidy Reiman, both of whom earned purple ribbons.

Additionally, Mckenna Reiman of Cozad and Barrett Hunke of Lexington earned purple ribbons, as well.
