NORTH PLATTE – Work begins this week to install changeable message boards on Highways US-30 near Big Springs, US-26 near Ogallala, US-83 near North Platte and Thedford, N-92 near Stapleton and Merna, and N-2 near Broken Bow, according to a statement released by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
All told, NDOT expects work to occur in 9 locations across District 6. Watts Electric Company of Waverly is the contractor. The work will be performed away from the roadway with minimal traffic impacts. The project is anticipated to be completed by the summer of this year.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down while driving.
