Area Boys Sub District Basketball Results

SEM advanced to a district final with a 52-41 win over Sandhills/Thedford in the finals of the D2-8 sub district boys basketball tournament. It was a balanced offensive attack for the Mustangs as seven players scored led by Jace Rosentreader who came off the bench to score a team high 14 points. Sandhills/Thedford had two players score in double figures led by Brady Dahlberg with 14 points and Kyle Cox finished with 11. With the win, SEM improves to 19-5 overall and advances into the D2 district finals. Sandhills/Thedford concludes the season at 16-8.

Ansley/Litchfield advanced to the district finals by holding off Pleasanton 49-45 in the D1-7 sub district final at Litchfield. With the win, the Spartans improve to 18-5 on the season.

Mullen fell to Paxton at the D2-10 sub district tournament 48-35. The Broncos are 17-5 on the season and will now wait to see if they can qualify for the district finals as a wildcard.

The Nebraska School Activities Association announced on Thursday that due to the weather postponing some boys sub district final games the boys district final pairings for classes C1, C2, D1, and D2 will not be released until Friday night or Saturday morning. As a result, all boys district final games will be played either Monday or Tuesday.
