Boys basketball sub district tournaments continue today in full force across the state of Nebraska. Broken Bow will travel to Centura tonight to open play at the C1-10 sub district tournament. Tonight’s game is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 with the winner advancing out to play the winner of tonight’s St. Paul vs Ord game for the sub district championship on Thursday. Tonight’s Broken Bow / Centura game will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com.
SEM will host the D2-8 sub district tournament beginning today. Start times for today’s games have been adjusted. Top seed SEM will face Elba at 5 p.m. followed by Anselmo-Merna vs Sandhills/Thedford. The winners will advance out to the sub district championship game on Thursday. Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will provide full coverage of the D2-8 sub district tournament as tonight’s games and Thursday’s final will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. A live video stream of all games from the D2-8 sub district tournament will be available on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and You Tube Channel.
South Loup continues play at the D1-10 sub district. The Bobcats defeated Overton 67-43 Monday night . South Loup will face top seed North Platte St. Pat’s tonight. The winner advances to Thursday’s final to face the winner of Elm Creek vs Maywood Hayes Center.
Twin Loup and Burwell faced each other Monday night in the opening game of the D1-7 sub district at Litchfield. Burwell advanced with a 65-31 win. The Longhorns will play the top seed Ansley/Litchfield tonight with the winner advancing to Thursday’s final to face the winner of Pleasanton vs Ravenna.
Mullen is the top seed at the D2-10 sub district. The Broncos will face Arthur County tonight with the winner advancing out to play the winner of tonight’s Paxton vs Hyannis matchup on Thursday.
Arcadia/Loup City saw its season come to an end at the C2-9 sub district tournament at Amherst. The Rebels fell 57-37 to GICC Monday night . GICC advances to play top seed Amherst tonight.
