District Court Recap: February 16

BROKEN BOW – The Custer County District Court breezed through 6 cases Thursday morning, many of which were resolved.

Wesley M. Kraft, 25 of North Platte, appeared for sentencing in his case. Kraft was found guilty of possession of a stolen firearm, a Class IIA felony, and was sentenced in an agreement with the court to 2 years probation.

Shelby R. Butzke, 28 of Kearney, withdrew a prior not-guilty plea to possession of a controlled substance, a Class IV felony, so that she could be accepted into drug court with a guilty plea.

Lanna Martinez-Ward, 47 of Broken Bow, appeared for a status hearing in her case and reached a tentative plea agreement. In exchange for a guilty plea to one count of terroristic threats, a Class IIIA felony, three other counts would be dismissed. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered, and sentencing was scheduled for March.

Brandon B. Rohde, 43 of Arnold, was sentenced on one count of a third-offense DUI aggravated, a Class IIIA felony. Rohde will serve 180 in jail to run concurrently with a sentence he is currently serving in Dawson County.

Jayme D. Pohl, 41 of Littleton, Colorado, failed to appear, and his case was continued to March. Likewise, Christina M. Page, 42 of Broken Bow, failed to appear, and a bench warrant was issued.
