LLNRD Announces 2023 Photo Contest

ORD – The Lower Loup Natural Resources District photo contest is now open, according to a release from the LLNRD.

The photo contest provides those living within the LLNRD area to showcase not only their skills with a camera, but also the natural beauty of the slice of Nebraska they call home. Subject matter is wide open; according to the release, photos can include nature, wildlife, agriculture, recreation, conservation activities, and people, though the list is by no means exhaustive.

The LLNRD notes that images taken at Pibel Lake, the Davis Creek recreation areas, and the 12-acre arboretum outside the LLNRD’s headquarters in Ord are of special interest.

Photographers will retain ownership of their images, though by submitting, entrants grant the LLNRD the potential use of their images for social media posts, website content, and digital use, as well as use in printed materials. The deadline to submit photos is May 15, and winners will be announced on June 2023.

All photos should be submitted to the LLNRD’s Information and Education Coordinator Alan Bartels; a first, second, and third prize will be awarded. More information can be found here.
